Are these the world’s best car ads? Car Pit fans decide

If you’re not on the Car Pit’s Instagram page, you should be. Why? Because I have fewer than 200 followers and I need more.  

Also, along with car review videos, I also share nostalgic bits and pieces motoring enthusiasts are likely to enjoy.

Recently, I unearthed what I thought was the best car ad of all time: this 1980s Starion commercial from Japan.

Anyway, turns out not everyone has the same impeccable taste as I do. 

In fact, quite a few people volunteered ads which they believed were superior. 

Now, I’m a magnanimous leader. I listen to the people. So I’ve compiled the best suggestions below. 

RIDLEY SCOTT’S 1990 NISSAN AD

Did you know that Ridley Scott directed a Nissan ad? Me neither.

This is an absolute banger with clearly a big budget. Unfortunately for Nissan, the ad was only ever played once. Why? Apparently it promoted unsafe and aggressive driving.

Ah, remember the days when ‘intermittent wipers’ were an addition worthy of mentioning? Honestly, I don’t.

This is a cracking ad and quite brave if you consider the car isn’t shown until the very end.
